LAWRENCE, KS—CLINTON LAKE TRAIL RIDE FUNDRAISER April 27th Riding for a Cause!
CFCC and Associates would like to invite you to the ACTHA HELP Competitive Trail Challenge (CTC) at Clinton Lake in Lawrence, Kansas on April 27th. This is a casual competitive trail ride, and consists of 6-8 miles of trail, with 6 obstacles spaced along the trail. There will be ribbons and prizes for 1st through 6th place in the Open, Pleasure and Junior divisions. T
he ride is a fundraiser for a program called Horses Easing Life's Pain (HELP) offered by CFCC & Associates, Inc. in Atchison and Topeka, KS. We are a nonprofit counseling center that incorporates, when appropriate, horses to assist the healing process of children and adults suffering from a variety of traumatic life events. In addition to the CTC, we are also having contests for Best Dressed Cowgirl, Best Dressed Cowboy, Best Groomed Horse, Best Dressed Dog, Pluggin’ Along Award, Hard Luck Award, and Farthest Traveled Award. Or just come out for the fresh air and the opportunity to support a great cause. There will be activities back at camp during the ride for kids that don’t go out on the trail, and LIVE music during lunch! If you are interested in volunteering or donating prizes for these events please call us at 785-272-0778.
To register for the ride please go online to www.actha.us and look for the Horses Easing Life’s Pain CTC. Check in begins at 8am. We hope you can make it! It’s going to be fun!
