ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Country Legends 106.9 is expanding. Topeka’s heritage classic country music station is looking for two full time, Account Executives to sell and create solid radio marketing campaigns for new advertisers and connect them to our devoted audience.
Position Description and Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to help advertisers get results with their marketing. Responsibilities include new account development, writing proposals, coordination of commercial copywriting and production and collections. PowerPoint, Excel, Word proficiency required. Tapscan and Maximizer skills helpful.
Qualifications and How to Apply:
2-5 years outside sales experience with a solid track record of sales success is preferred for this position. A valid driver’s license is required. Previous radio, television, billboard, online, marketing or print advertising experience is desired. Standard business hours Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm; evenings/weekends as needed.

INTERNSHIP
Job Description:
We are looking for individuals who are self- starters who would like to get their foot in the door with radio. Intern works closely with the Promotions, Sales & Programming Directors to fulfill all station and sales promotions and events.
Required Skills/ Experience:
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age, outgoing, enthusiastic, detail oriented and dependable. Candidate must have a good driving record, and be able to lift 50lbs or more. Duties include: setting up/ tearing down of equipment, interacting with listeners and clients, running promotional contests, on air, online and at on-site events. Candidate must be available to work unusual hours including evenings, weekends and some holidays. Candidates must be able to provide their own transportation to and from work and event.
Preferred Skills/ Experience:
Word processing, filing and working knowledge of event logistics and management. Organizational ability and attention to detail are critical. The successful intern applicant will have to become familiar quickly with all aspects of KTPK’s programming and operations in order to respond knowledgeably to inquiries and work successfully with other departments. Prior experience serving in industries such as radio, restaurant, retail and special events, a plus.
Additional Candidate Instructions:
This is a non-paid internship program. To receive college credit, you must be from an accredited college and be able to receive credit towards their degree for participation.
